Passiflora, also known as passion flowers or passion vines, is a genus of about 550 flowering plants and the type genus of the Passifloraceae family. They are mostly tendril-bearing vines, with a few shrubs or trees thrown in for good measure. They can be either woody or herbaceous in nature.
